Besides building robots for general-header, we work to spread our passion for technology and engineering. We interact with our local community to cultivate a culture of appreciation towards computers and machines, and help students grow their passion for the STEM field in various outreach events.
This year, we had the privilege to assist in running a Jr. FIRST Lego League Tournament, at George Mason University. This NXT competition is one of many that inspire new students at a young age to persue STEM careers.
The Noche de Ciencias (Night of Science) was an incredible outreach event held at the US Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria. Hundreds of kids came to the USPTO to learn about STEM, and we had the privilege of partnering with the Naval Research Labs for the event!
We were given the privilege to have a booth set up at the 2017 Community Fall Festival at Falls Church High School in Falls Church, VA. We had a blast letting kids race our robots across out obstacle course, and showed off our robots. We met many bright, excited kids who we hope to see become the next generation of engineers and scientists.
